Environmental Consciousness is an ongoing concern for us. We are constantly evaluating our purveyors offerings and often asking the bigger picture questions about how our purchasing decisions not only effect us, but how our choices are effecting the overall health of the planet. The choice to “think globally, act locally” translates into supporting our local farming community and patronizing the products that are grown and raised without genetically modified organisms, pesticides, growth hormones and antibiotics. In an effort to maintain these ideals we are faced with the very real challenge of keeping the doors open. This may translate into some slight price increases from time to time. Unfortunately it is the grim reality of running a business. We don’t raise our prices out of greed, but out of pure survival and the commitment to make the right choices as it pertains to environmental and social awareness. Small businesses are a minority, but a minority that all of us are vehemently committed to. We thank you for your commitment to us and together we can create a constant flow of ripples.
